The Putnam County R-I chapter of the National Honor Society inducted twenty new members Tuesday evening in a candlelit ceremony. Mrs. Tamara Casady, high school English teacher, presented the induction address. She used quotes from the play Harvey and encouraged students to be pleasant, make friends, and dream for the future.
To be eligible, high school juniors and seniors must attain at least a 3.5 grade point average and exhibit high standards of service, character and leadership.
NHS activities include organizing the Veterans Day assembly and blood drives held in January and May.
