The Lights Were ON in Putnam County!
S.O.A.R. Program Celebrates Lights On Afterschool!
by Debbie Fischgrabe
October 26, 2007
Several parents and students visited the S.O.A.R. Before and Afterschool Program during Open House enrollment on Thursday, October 18, 2007 to join in celebrating the national Lights On Afterschool campaign. PC students decorated light bulbs to send to Congressman Sam Graves’ office, along with a letter describing our program and voicing our appreciation for the federal funding that has been made available through grant funds.
Anyone that was unable to enroll a child at the Open House may still do so by contacting Project Coordinator, Deborah Fischgrabe at (660) 947-3361, ext. 392, or by stopping by your school office to request a copy of the enrollment form and parent handbook.
S.O.A.R. (Seizing Opportunities through Academic Readiness) is available to all K-8 students in the district, and all are welcome and encouraged to participate in this exciting new program.
