LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT VISITS S.O.A.R.

On Wednesday, November 7, 2007, fifty S.O.A.R. students learned about fire safety and practiced emergency drills.
Fire Chief Lonnie Dover and his crew demonstrated the “stop, drop and roll” method of putting out a fire and discussed the perils of playing with matches and/or lighters. The crew gave hands-on tours of the fire truck and provided materials for the students to take home for discussions with parents.
