Families bond at game night.

Middle School Family Game Night

An Evening To Remember!

by Stephanie Salisbury and Teresa Sands

November 10, 2007

An evening of parent-child bonding was fostered during the Middle School's Family Game Night. Approximately 100 people were present.  After signing in, everyone was able to select from a wide variety of games to play together.  Some of their choices were Jeopardy, Family Feud, Catch Phrase, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, and Cup Stacking.  For the more adventurous, there were Dance Dance Revolution, Karaoke, and Guitar Hero.  Photos of child with parent were taken and given as a memento.

Snacks were donated by the PC Cafe, Putnam County Memorial Hospital, and the Middle School Student Council.

The grand finale of the evening was a game called L.O.L., also known as the Newlywed Game. Five parent/child teams were selected to be contestants. Just like the Newlywed Game, they had to answer questions to see how well they knew one another.  A few games were given as prizes. These prizes were donated by our local Pamida, WalMart, Putnam County Partners In Prevention, and Premium Standard Farms.

We hope to host this event again next year.  For all the parents or relatives who were able to take time to come with your child, Thank You!  Your time together is priceless.

A pat on the back goes to all the volunteers who helped make the evening possible. Your hard work and time were greatly appreciated.
