Math Problem of the Week 7

by Melissa Schmidli

November 14, 2007

A prime number is a positive counting number greater than 1 that has only two factors, 1 and itself.  Five is a prime number because it has only two factors, 1 and 5.  Twin primes are two prime numbers whose difference is 2.  For example, 3 and 5 are a pair of twin primes because 5-3=2.  Find the greatest pair of twin primes less than 100.
