The Third Grade has started a Dollar$ and $ense Program with the Farmers Bank. The Dollar$ and $ense Program is designed to teach children the value of saving money and saving for the future. Some of the concepts that the students will be learning about are saving money, bartering, and income. The bank will deposit $1.00 in each new account to get the children started with saving money. The bank representatives, Janet Welder and Candy Shultz, will come to the classrooms once a month to present a lesson to the children and allow them to make a deposit to their savings account if they wish to do so. At the end of the program, the Third Grade will get to take a field trip to tour the Farmers Bank.
