The students in the third grade are really enjoying the new editions to the counseling program, they are puppets--Alex & Maddie.
The puppets are used as a tool that enhances the role-play activities teaching character education, life skills and decision making.
Students work together in groups, using their decision making skills, team work and positive character traits, to encourage building healthy relationships and making good choices.
Wyatt and Dorie are shown with Alex and Maddie after being able to be the puppet master in a skit earlier this week. Derek is sharing with the class what his group decided in an earlier brain-storming session.
The students seem to enjoy the puppets, and their creativity really shines when they are able to act out the scenarios!
