The Jr. High Midget Boys B squad closed out the season on Dec. 17. Prior to Thanksgiving the team lost to Schuyler once and Scotland twice to start the season 0-3. The squad improved and split their final five games 2-3.
Scores were as follows:
11/27 Schuyler 47 Putnam 38
11/29 Milan 20 Putnam 38
12/4 Scotland 35 Putnam 21
12/5 Putnam 22 Princeton 20
12/17 Trenton 25 Putnam 24
The Trenton game was close, down to the the wire, with Putnam holding a lead with less than a minute to play.
The boys improved steadily as the year went on working hard in practice. I enjoyed coaching them and recommend that if they are serious about playing basketball they need to spend time in the off season developing their skills. Basketball is a game of skill that requires practice in order to master the skills needed to play at a high level.
Basketball players are made in the off season... teams are made during the season.
