February 8 - It is very nice to see you again. Welcome to our news article. It has been a snowy week. Did you have fun on your two and a half day midweek weekend? Because we had so many days off, we are not having our regular Friday tests. It is nice to have a Friday with no tests. We will start our week next Monday with a spelling and reading test. It has been snowing for a long time. Some of us are sick of it but some of us like snow. Snow is good because you can make snowmen with it. It is fun to make snow angels.
Miss Donna is our nutrition lady. She comes once a year to teach us healthy stuff. She works with us for seven or eight days. She gave us a copy of the color bands on My Pyramid to help us make healthier food choices. She taught us to read nutrition labels. She gives us a taste test every day if we do a good job. We had pineapple and papaya today. Before she leaves we stretch to get exercise and build muscles to get strong. She has been our nutrition lady for a long time and we like her. She helps us keep our room clean for Mrs. Mary. Miss Donna and Mrs. Mary are nice to us.
Well, we'll see you next time (if we have school). We hope we don't have to stay home from school any more. Have an excellent weekend.
