Community Ed Classes

Opportunities abound for local residents to learn a new skill or hobby this spring through community education classes at Putnam County R-I.  Upcoming courses include Ceramics, Welding, Jewelry Making, Basic Computers, and Total Body Workout.  Indian Hills Community College classes to be held at the school are Developmental Psychology, Earth Science, and College Algebra. 

Enrollment for the community ed classes can be completed by calling Mary Comstock at the school, 947-3361, ext. 303.  Class size is limited in some instances.  Registration for the spring Indian Hills Community College classes will take place in the high school library February 20 at 5 p.m.

Ceramics

Class Fee:  $30 (includes $10 materials fee)

6:00 – 8:00 p.m., HS Art Room

Each student will make two ceramic pieces

Basic Welding

6:30 – 8:30 p.m., HS Ag Shop

Class Fee:  $30 (includes $15 materials fee)

Arc and Mig Welding will be taught

Jewelry Making - “Make and Take”

5:30 – 7:30, Elementary Library

Class Fee:  $30 each night (includes $20 materials fee)
