Family Activity/Science Night

If you saw children with green hands, children with toothpicks and marshmallows, and children with containers of soil, rice or miscellaneous objects, you might have been in attendance with approximately 140 others at Family Activity/Science Night, which was held in lieu of the usual Family Reading Night. Nine rooms were filled with a variety of activities.
Paricipants could build with toothpicks and marshmallows; create creatures with paint; create "I Spy" bottles; experiment with Moonsand; stack cups; sort, dissect and plant seeds; discover the 5 senses; play with the parachute; try out tinikling; work on balance; and play with slime and ooblick. For those who were experiencing hunger, no worries: cookies were set up in the gym to curb appetites.
Many thanks to all the staff who helped plan, prepare and man the rooms. Thanks also to all the families who participated!!
