February 29 - It is great to see you again. We have had a fun week. It is Leap Year Day today. It happens only every four years. Kids born on February 29th only get to have a birthday every four years. We will be in middle school the next time it is Leap Year!
Our friend Cheyenne moved away yesterday. She was on our class team. Cheyenne moved to Kirksville. We might see her at Wal-Mart. It is sad that she moved because she was a good student and a very good reader. We miss her because she was a good friend. We are really sad and we hope she has fun at her new school.
We have been reading biographies this week. A biography is writing about someone else's real life. If you write about your own life, that is an autobiography. We read about Teddy Roosevelt, Wilma Rudolph and Ellen Ochoa. Ellen Ochoa is an astronaut. Wilma Rudolph was a very fast Olympic champion runner. Teddy bears are named after President Teddy Roosevelt.
We will see you next week on 2MR's news report. Have a fun weekend!
