Marty Receives Area FFA Office

On March 7, 2008, at Knox County High School, the Area III FFA Officer Interviews were held. Each FFA Chapter form Area III schools is allowed to submit one candidate to interview for an area office. Marty was chosen to represent the Putnam County FFA Chapter.
Eighteen people interviewed for the ten officer positions available. The interview process consisted of a knowledge test, the interviewee’s leadership points and the actual interview. The officers were voted on by the delegates and the final selection is done by the current Area III officers.
Two rounds of interviews were held. The top ten were selected after the first round and the second round determined who would be selected to fill each officer position.
At the conclusion of the interview process, Marty F, was selected as the Area III Vice President for the 2008-09 school year. His duties will include helping with area activities such as Area Leadership Conference, Battle of the Chapters, Greenhand Motivational Conference, Area Officer interviews, and the Area III Awards Banquet. Marty is the son of Dale and June of Unionville, Missouri.
Marty will be installed during the Area III Banquet held in Atlanta, Missouri on April 22, 2008.
Also attending the interviews as delegates from Putnam County were Jessica L. and Shelby B. Brady F. also attended as the current Area III Vice President and served on the selection committee.
