JH Boys Track

The JH boys track team travelled to Kahoka on Friday, April 4, to participate in the Clark Co. Relays.
The Putnam Co. boys finished first with a team total of 134 points, topping eight other schools. Putnam Co. received points in all but one event, which goes to show that track is not just an individual sport.
Finishing in the top eight places will earn a team points. First place,10 points; second, 8 points; third place, 6 points; fourth, 5 points; fifth, 4 points; sixth, 3 points; seventh, 2 points; and eighth, 1 point.
The boys were excited to finally get to participate in a meet instead of practice. This fueled the boys to record some good finishes and record some 2008 personal best times, jumps, and throws. The results for the meet are below. Putnam Co. will host its own relays on Thursday, April 10.
