Golf Season Underway

After a wet start, the Putnam County Boys Golf season is well underway. Thirteen boys have been competing in both varsity and junior varsity matches. Team scores have declined throughout the spring. At LaPlata PC shot 212; at Schuyler 197; Trenton 195; and Milan 175, which was low enough to win the meet.
Rainstorms and hail hampered play at the Schuyler Varsity Tournament. The boys were only able to play 9 holes. At Brookfield on April 22, they placed 6th out of 12 very competitive teams.
The boys travel to Scotland to hit the links on Wednesday, April 23, and Schuyler County on Friday, April 25.
The season will wind down next week with the Tri-Rivers Conference Meet on Tuesday, April 29, and District Play at Moberly on Wednesday, April 30.
