What's Happening in First Grade!

The year is almost over and Mrs. Richardson's First Grade has been very busy. They took the Stanford test last week and worked very hard. Mrs. Steven's rewarded them with a movie on Wednesday for their attendance.
They have worked very hard this year learning to read, write, and do addition and subtraction. We had a discussion about what they have learned and they were amazed at what they have learned this year. They are all looking forward to second grade and learning cursive.
.We have some exciting dates coming up. On May 6, they will be going on their field trip to Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. The first grade classes have been making this trip for several years and it is always a fun and educational trip. The next important date is Track and Field day on May 9.
