Lady Midgets Win Marcus Hounsom Relays

The Putnam County Girls track team had a great day and walked away with the Trophy for the Marcus Hounsom Relays. The girls overall competed strong and had seven first place finishes.
The teams and individual champions are as follows: 3200m Relay, 800m Relay, 400m Relay, 1600m Relay, Amanda won the 3200m run, and Katie won the shot put and discus. The boys finished fourth overall, but had a super team effort. The boys had five champions in their ranks: Mason 's 1600m and 800m runs; Levi's 300m hurdles; Darien's shot put; and the 3200m relay team.
The teams will compete May 3 in Centralia for Districts, and the qualifiers will be going to Mokan on the May 10 for Sectionals to try to earn a trip to the State Championship meet in Jefferson City.
