City or Country? Which is the best?

by Jana Young

What do you prefer, city life or country life?  The country life is more likely to have less crime, there won't be as many neighbors, and you have more room to do outdoor activities.  We believe it's better to live in the country rather than in the city.

One reason we would rather live in the country is the country has less crime.  It is less likely to have a drive-by shooting, and it has a lower crime rate.  For every violent crime in Unionville, there are seven in Kansas City.  For every property crime in Unionville, there are eight in Kansas City.

Another example of why country living is better is that you have a LOT more privacy.  When your neighbor mows his yard, you don't live so close that you have to mow yours to make it look the same.  You also don't hear your annoying neighbors yelling at the tops of their lungs.

Another reason why we believe it's better to live in the country rather than the city is you have more room to do outdoor activities.  You can play softball with less worry of hitting cars and windows.  You can also ride four-wheelers on the road without a lot of people caring.  You can also go hunting in your own backyard.

So you can see, it's better to live in the country.  There's a lower crime rate, not as many neighbors, and more room to do outdoor activities.  This is why we believe it's better to live in the country rather than the city.
