Katie Wins Two State Championships

Several Putnam County R-I athletes performed well at the 2008 Missouri State Track Meet in Jefferson City, Missouri this past week.
Katie threw a career best, 46' 7.25", breaking the Class 2 state record and making her the 2008 State Champion and the rare opportunity of standing at the top of the winners' podium. Katie also threw the discus 140'1", making her the State Champion .
The runners also represented PCHS well: Sarah, Hillary, Mattie and Kati placed 7th in the 4 x 200; Sarah, Hillary, Ashli and Kati placed 8th in the 4 x 100; and Mason was 16th in the mile.
