48,000 people in America don't wear their seat belts. If they did, over 3/4 of them wouldn't have a chance of dying in a car wreck. It's against the law in America not to wear a set belt. It keeps your children safe. We believe that people in America should always wear their seat belts while riding in or driving a car.
To begin with, people die in wrecks every day because they don't wear their seat belt. Every year 40,000 people die in car wrecks because they don't wear a seat belt. Most people think they don't need to wear a seat belt, but you really do. Most people who die in car wrecks without their seat belt are under the age of 35.
Another reason to wear your seat belt is that it is a law. You are supposed to wear your seat belt! If you don't wear your seat belt, you can get pulled over and even fined in some states. It is a law because it can save your life. Would you rather buckle up, get a ticket, or worse, lose your life?
Also, seat belts keep your children safe and buckled down. No parent wants their children to die. When you buckle them down, it keeps them from hitting you if you're in a wreck. Your children should be in a car seat until they are 4'9" with the car seat buckled down to keep them safe.
In conclusion, you should wear your seat belt because people die in wrecks every day because of not wearing their seat belt. It also is against the law not to wear it, and it keeps your children safe. Therefore, people should wear their seat belts while in a car, because you can't live again after you die!
