How do School Social Workers Help?
They help students…. To cope with stress. To understand themselves. To like themselves. To be confident. To be responsible. To get along with others. To like school. To make the best possible use of their educational opportunities.
They help parents…. To learn more about their child’s behavior, moods and development. To say what they think, feel and desire. To understand the purposes and resources of the school. To utilize school and community resources. To do all they can to help their children succeed.
They help the school….To provide suitable programs and services for those students with special needs- those who are socially, emotionally, physically and mentally handicapped. To know and understand both parent and student concerns. To make school a more pleasant and satisfying place for all.
