2008 Junior High Boys Basketball

As you know basketball practice is in full swing and our first game is fast approaching.
The team has been working hard to prepare for our first game A team on Nov. 6. The first B team game is on Nov. 13.
It’s great to see such in interest in going out for basketball, but with the numbers we currently have playing, we have to set some guidelines for how we will be dressing players for each game.
• 10 players will be chosen and they will dress for the A games
• 5 more players will be chosen to dress for the A games as well as play some in the B games
• 10 players will be chosen to dress in the B games, and we will rotate each game on who gets to dress. So, if a player dresses the first B game they might not get to dress the next one. It will be set up so that a player will participate in every other B game. During the 7th grade tournament we will dress all the players.
• Changes can be made at any time based upon how a player is playing in games or practices, grades, attitude, participation, and attendance.
• By Friday October 31, 2007, we will let the boys know who will be dressing the first game.
• Game scores will be posted on the school web site as well as practice schedules. www.putnamcountyr1.net and look under Middle School>> Sports>>Basketball.
We appreciate all you do at home and letting your son play basketball.
The tentative November practice and game schedule is below. We will probably be adding some additional practices but will have to work around the high school teams’ schedules.
