December 04, 2008
Jake and Joetta were crowned the Echo King and Queen for 2008-2009 on Tuesday, November 25. Introductions and the announcement were made by Yearbook Co-Editors Kayla and Sarah. The Echo candidates are nominated by their classmates. Candidates were interviewed on November 18 and the winners were determined by the Kirksville Women of Today.
The staff would like to extend special thanks to Matthew, 2007-08 King, who crowned the new royalty; Ashlen, former Echo Staffer, who assisted with the preparations; and Jessica and Charmaine who are the Echo Coordinators.
The coronation ceremony is a kick-off for yearbook sales. Yearbooks can be bought from staff members at the sale price through February 3. After February 3, the cost will increase $5. The cost of a regular book is $25; personalized books are $30. If you would like an all-color, 16-page insert of current events coverage that highlights 2008-2009, add an additional $5 to the cost of either a regular book or personalized book. Members of the staff include Sarah, Kayla, Brogan, Whitnie, Jake, Elizabeth, Tori, Jessica and Charmaine.
