Construction Updates

June 24, 2009

Construction projects at Putnam County R-I continue at a fast pace, in spite of the rain. Block walls are being constructed for the art room addition, including replacing windows in high school rooms 2 and 4 with cement block.
The new roof on the auditorium is complete and crews are now working on the elementary roof.
The old poles around the football field have been taken down. First the existing lights were removed as they will be utilized by the Unionville Recreation League. Then the old wooden poles were taken down by Smith’s Tree Service. The new poles and lights will go up sometime in July.
The elementary gym floor is complete and will cure for several more weeks before the gym is opened.
More concrete has been poured around the softball field including new cement bleacher pads for the south softball field. Plumbing on the new bathroom will begin next week.
