Academic Hall of Fame
Nominations Requested
The Putnam County R-1 School District is soliciting nominations for consideration as members of the Unionville High School/Putnam County R-1 High School Academic Hall of Fame.
The dual purpose of this recognition is to honor alumni who have achieved extraordinary success in their high school, college and professional careers and to provide role models to current students of Putnam County R-1 High School.
To be considered for this honor, the following criteria must be fulfilled:
- the nominee’s entire high school career was at UHS and/or PCHS;
- the nominee graduated from UHS and/or PCHS twenty (20) years or more prior to the date of nomination;
- one to (no more than) three letters of recommendation be submitted with nomination;
- submission of the completed and signed nomination form;
- submission of nominee’s curriculum vitae (CV) or resume of academic and professional history;
- nominations must be received before December 31, 2011, for consideration for that year’s induction class;
- the nominee must be living at the time of nomination.
- At least one recommendation letter must be from a past or present professional contact of the nominee.
Nominations may be made by self-nomination.

Nominations for individuals not selected for this year’s induction will be filed and reviewed each succeeding year.
A standing committee will select the class of honorees who will then be honored by the hanging of a plaque in the school that includes the honoree’s likeness, name and accomplishments.
The 2011UHS/PCHS Academic Hall of Fame class will be announced in March.
