FFA Members Attend Greenhand Conference

Twenty-one members of the Putnam County FFA Chapter attended the Greenhand Motivational Conference held Kirksville, Missouri, on January 6th, 2010. This leadership conference is held annually for first year FFA members. The purpose of the conference is to provide the opportunity for Greenhands to meet State FFA officers, learn more about the field of agriculture and to realize the many opportunities available in the National FFA Association.

Those attending had the chance to view five State FFA Officer perform an entertaining skit about FFA opportunities. Students were also divided into groups and participated in team building activities. The final event of the conference was a motivational speech by one of the Sate FFA Vice-Presidents. This conference was sponsored by MFA Incorporated and the Missouri FFA Association.
