Lady Midgets Hold 5-0 Conference Mark
The Putnam County Lady Midgets basketball team currently holds a 5-0 record in the Tri-Rivers Conference and an 11-4 mark overall. These girl’s have been working really hard and have great senior leadership in Katie R. and Becca M.. The team's 4 losses have all been to class 3 schools and were all single digit losses.
In the South Harrison Tournament these girls got a chance to see how they would measure up to class 3 and 9th ranked Cameron. The girls gave Cameron all they wanted and came up a little short losing by only 2 points. Last week the girls traveled to Milan to take on the Wildcats. Both teams came into the contest 4-0 in the conference with a chance to take over sole possession of first place in the Tri-Rivers Conference. It was a hard fought battle but the Lady Midget’s were up for the challenge winning by 8 points. This week the Lady Midget’s are playing in the Hamilton Tournament. They had their first game Tuesday night against Gallatin, winning by a score of 61-28. On behalf of the Lady Midget’s and myself, we would like to thank the community, parents, students and faculty for all the support you have shown throughout the season. We have the best fans ever and are truly blessed.
