Winter Fun Night

December 05, 2009
The Putnam County R-1 Parents as Teachers Program and the Green Hills Community Action Agency partnered to provide a family enrichment activity night on Tuesday, December 1. It was a fun filled night of crafts, music, and good food.
Parents received educational information on the importance of the creative process and music.
A parent hand-out related how music can enhance a child's language development and improve parent/child relationships and how creative thinking is as important as critical thinking.
The children had fun doing the Snowflake Walk. All children received a great prize.
Parents and children engaged their creative thinking process by designing a variety of ornaments and a Rudolph hat. Children wore their hats as they rocked to the Reindeer Pokey.
A big thank you to the Green Hills Community Action Agency for providing the prizes and the great food for the activity night!
