Putnam County was well represented and won BIG at the FBLA District Competitions on Thursday, February 18, at Truman State University. Overall, Putnam County won 8 medals and a District Office!
Jake B. ran a successful campaign for FBLA District 3 Vice President. Each and every student who attended the competitions worked hard at helping Jake campaign and get his name out to all the voting delegates. When every student who attended was assembled at Baldwin Auditorium, Jake gave his campaign speech. During his speech he explained his plan to introduce the ‘mullet concept’ into our district. “Like a mullet -- business on top, party in the back. We believe in taking this club very seriously, promoting all it has to offer and most of all learning; yet, we know how to have fun and apply lightheartedness to somewhat gray situations.”
Overall each and every student had a great experience at this year's FBLA District Competitions. Putnam County came home with four 1st place wins, one 2nd place win, and three 3rd place wins.
