Generous Staff Gives Donation
Putnam County R-I staff members recently displayed their generous natures by donating $2,700 to the PC Cafe and Resource Center. The large donation was raised as staff purchased the privilege to wear jeans on Fridays and early-out Wednesdays.
The PC Cafe will use the money to supplement the home-delivered meals program. Home-delivered meals are provided to senior citizens in the county from Worthington to Powersville and all points in between. The program runs low on funds due to state and federal budget cuts.
Putnam County R-I is also showing its generosity by holding a food drive the last week of October, including admission to the Putnam County-Milan varsity football contest. Non-perishable food items are being collected as well as cash donations for the Central Missouri Food Bank. All food and cash donations will be used to stock the pantry in Unionville for use by Putnam County residents in need.
Staff members shown presenting the check to the PC Cafe are: Lisa Stobbe, Jennifer Trimble, Joyce Cullum, PC Cafe Director Mary Clapham, Jessica Nance, Tiffani Klinginsmith, and Alice Heidenwith.
