Christmas Around the World
The first grade classes made gingerbread houses today. Mrs. Butler’s class had a fun, sweet, delicious and sticky time.
We studied about the traditions of Christmas in the country of Germany. We learned that they have many of the same traditions that we have here in America.
Each child was given a plate, graham crackers, frosting and bag of decorations. They were able to create their own house however they wanted. We had all kinds of creativity happening in our room.
Next week we will study the country of Italy. We will be making little individual pizzas for each child. The third week we will study the country of Mexico and will be making bunuelos.
We all enjoyed our study of Christmas Around of World.
