Pottery Bowl Night February 14th

Art Club Fundraiser

By Partridge, Tonja

February 07, 2012

Dinner and a unique gift to take home; how's that for a successful Valentine evening?  Take your sweetheart out and feel good about where you've spent your money.  It's for a very good cause!

Handmade pottery bowls made by Putnam County Art Club students will be on sale Tuesday, February 14th as part of our annual fundraiser. Money earned at this event is used to fund our annual field trip and to buy art supplies throughout the year.  The kids have worked hard on their pot throwing skills and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality of their completed bowls.  We always cross our fingers and hope as we open the kiln to see what has survived the firing process.  This year we have an excellent selection from which to choose ranging in price from $2 - $20 based on size and the difficulty of the process.

Homemade chili, taco soup and potato soup along with the usual concession foods will be available for sale, with the proceeds also benefiting the Art Department.  We will begin serving at 5:30 through half-time of the last game.  Our varsity boys and girls play Knox County with the first game starting at 6:00 p.m.  Come out to support our young people and see what's happening in the Art Department.
