Could You Pass The Test?
If you hadn’t been so lucky as to be born here or to American parents you would have to take a test to become a US citizen. Could you pass the test?
The 8th grade class has been memorizing the functions, requirements and details of our three branches of government as well as the 27 Amendments. Sounds like a lot, but it’s what makes the US, us. It’s easier to understand when you think about what was happening at the time. I’m afraid we may take our rights and privileges for granted if we forget what it was like without them.
