Coach DeVore Middle School
I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful spring that we have been having. It’s hard to believe that the school year is almost over.
MAP testing went great, and the students worked really hard. I look for the students to have fantastic scores.
The Eighth grade girls have begun testing for the Presidential Physical Fitness test. The girls will be tested in five events: the sit-n-reach, curl-ups, push-ups, shuttle-run and the mile run. I will record the results and then each will have certain criteria they have to meet according to their age.
The sixth grade Social Studies classes have been doing a unit over France and England. We watched the movie “Joan of Arc” and the students had to write a one page movie review.
The seventh and eighth grade Reading classes are still reading their books. The seventh graders are reading “The Secret School” and the eighth graders are reading “Where the Red Fern Grows.”
