Mrs.Sivetts' May Newsletter
Representatives from the Tri-County Electric Cooperative came into my classroom today to talk with all fifth grade students about electricity safety. During the presentation, the students were given the opportunity to see the equipment that the line men use when they go work on the electrical poles. One student from Mrs. Preston's class was randomly selected to try on the equipment needed to be safe while working with electricity. The students really enjoyed watching this student "swim" in the equipment needed. The students were given pencils and rulers at the end of the presentation as well. I would like to thank the Tri-County Electric Cooperative for these items as well as volunteering a few of their workers to come educate our students today.
