On December 2, 2016, Putnam County R-1 received the news that Senior Jade V. was named the recipient of the KIRX-JAMCO 2016-2017 Athlete of the Week Award for her athletic performance on the Lady Midgets basketball team.

Jade was nominated for the award and received a plaque from JAMCO Awards on Friday. KIRX also announced her name and award on-air during Friday’s sports segments.
