The Missouri Art Education Association hosts a juried student art exhibition during their annual Spring conference. Every art teacher in attendance may display only eight of their top student artworks; being selected for one of the eight places is highly honorable. This Spring Mrs. Hines took artwork from the following students; Samantha D., Katelyn S., Madison S., Ashley K., Hannah M., Graycie R.,and Jonnie B. Out of these seven outstanding students, three placed for an award! In the 11th-12th grade division Sam D. won Honorable Mention. In the 9th-10th grade divison Katelyn S. won Honorable Mention and Jonnie B. won 2nd place. Putnam County was well represented this year! 

Along with the student exhibition, the MAEA also hosts a juried teacher art show. Our high school art teacher Mrs. Hines placed 1st place in the Photography category with a photograph of her late grandmother Delphia Finch (also a Putnam County graduate) playing the piano.
