"Owls in the Family"
Fourth grade fun in summer school.
The Fourth Graders in Mrs. Whitworth's group have read "Owls in the Family" during summer school. They also learned about owl pellets which was a little gross according to them. Our A+ helper, Cole, helped us dissect an owl pellet. Inside the owl pellet was a skull with a jaw and teeth, a shoulder blade, front legs, and parts of a rib cage. The kids determined the animal was probably a rodent of some kind by matching the bones up with pictures in the book, "Owl Puke".
