Legendary Customer Service Award

Robert Robinson earns Hy-Vee's highest honor.

Long time supporter of Putnam County sporting events and all around community volunteer, Robert Robinson, seemed genuinely surprised by the festivities in his honor Friday, August 18th. As he walked into the door at the Unionville Hy-Vee store at around 3:30 p.m., his friends, family and co-workers joined senior management in honoring his 41-year career with Hy-Vee. The Legendary Customer Service Award is given out to only nine winners each year selected from more than 85,000 Hy-Vee employees from across eight states. Robert's significant contributions of time and effort to our school and the community as a whole factored into his being chosen for this award.

Robinson and the other 2017 recipients of this honor will be inducted into the Hy-Vee customer Service Hall of Fame and receive a coveted Legendary customer Service name badge and custom-designed ring to commemorate the honor. They will be guests of honor at their area's service award dinner in October, which honors employees for longevity of service. They will also be recognized at Hy-Vee's annual stockholders' meeting in December. Finally, his photo will be prominently featured on the side of Hy-Vee trucks with the other recipients, showcasing their helpful smiles to millions of travelers throughout the Midwest. Robert and his wife, Janice, will also be enjoying a get-away trip courtesy of Hy-Vee.
