Third Grade Celebrates Grandparents' Day

On Friday, September 1, we celebrated Grandparents' Day.  First we presented a program to all guests in the elementary gym.  We shared our Growth Mindset Chant and a shared writing based on Margaret Wise Brown's book, The Important Book.  We followed the form from the book.  Our shared writing is below:

The important thing about grandparents is they LOVE us.  Grandparents are cool, funny, and nice.  They work hard.

Grandma and Grandpa take good care of us.  They feed us and take us out to eat.  The best food is always at Grandma's house, especially the pies.

An awesome thing grandparents do is spoil us.  They spend money on us, take us shopping and buy things for us like toys, milkshakes, and candy.

Grandparents help you when you have to study.  They do fun things like play games.

But the most important thing about grandparents is they love us and WE LOVE THEM!

We enjoyed spending the afternoon with our grandparents/special guests.  We appreciate everyone for coming to visit our school and classroom.
