Kicking Off the Year in TAG and HS Yearbook
The first four weeks have been a success! This year you’ll find me working with elementary TAG, middle school TAG, high school yearbook, and all 6th-8th students as the middle school counselor. As I start my second year in the district I am excited to implement new material purchased with an Innovation Grant from Dr. Halley. I combined my grant money with the amount granted to Tiffani Klinginsmith, and it is our goal to help middle school students have access to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) material and hands on lessons. One of the early favorites is the 3Doodler pens that allow students to draw 3D objects with melted plastic. The middle school TAG students have created some amazing objects - pictured: replica of real glasses by Crew and a spinning wind mill by Jenna. The elementary TAG students experimented with the Strawbees building kit to make crazy, spinner hats!
Yearbook class has been busy distributing the 2016-2017 yearbook, photographing events, designing the cover for the 2017-2018 yearbook, and documenting the fair! If you’d like to purchase the 2016-2017 yearbook, we have extras for $35. You may purchase it from the high school office or contacting me. This year’s yearbook sales will begin soon, price will be $30 before Christmas and $35 after that. Don’t miss out on one of the few items that people keep their whole life!
