Dear Parents,
We had a great day at Careers on Wheels! The children were very well behaved and respectful to our presenters. Thank you also to all of the parents who made it to the Fall Party! We had a great party and the kids enjoyed it!
The weather is beginning to cool down. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. They play outside for 20 minutes each morning and afternoon.
October Book It certificates are being sent home in the Friday Folder. Also a new Scholastic Book Order is included in the Friday Folder. Orders are due by November 10.
Elementary yearbooks are now on sale in the library! They are $17.00 and will be delivered in May. You can make checks payable to the school. If purchasing multiple yearbooks, they can be put on the same check, including middle school and high school yearbooks. Anyone purchasing an elementary yearbook by December 20th will have their name put in a drawing for a SLIME Science Kit. The drawing will be held at the end of the day December 20th. You don't want to miss out on this year's memories, buy a yearbook today!
Next week in:
Communication Arts: We will continue working on past and present tense verbs, cause and effect, and comparing and contrasting.
Spelling: Your child’s list is in the Friday Folder. The list they have tested over is the pretest. The list attached is the list they will be tested on. The list they will be working on for the following week is determined by the pretest results.
Math: We started a new unit on addition and subtraction without regrouping. Please review Math Facts with your child at home! I have started including Math Practice Games and Fact sheets on occasion with the Baggy Book.
Social Studies/Science: We will be working on a Native Americans unit.
