News Letter
Dear Parents,
I want to let everyone know that I have been absent from work this week due to my youngest being sick. I just want to let everyone know that next week we should be back to a regular schedule. Having a sub is hard on the kids and gets them mixed up.
Elementary yearbooks are now on sale in the library! They are $17.00 and will be delivered in May. You can make checks payable to the school. If purchasing multiple yearbooks, they can be put on the same check, including middle school and high school yearbooks. Anyone purchasing an elementary yearbook by December 20th will have their name put in a drawing for a SLIME Science Kit. The drawing will be held at the end of the day December 20th. You don't want to miss out on this year's memories, buy a yearbook today!
Communication Arts: We will be working on words with short “i” . We will start writing a nonfiction story about sequencing.
Math: We will continue to write addition number sentences and subtraction number sentences. We will continue sending home flashcards in their baggie for you to give to them each night. Mrs. Altiser tells us that we must make an emphasis on this because they get to upper grades and do not know their facts. Please help your child to be successful with their math facts. Return them to school each day. Thanks!
Social Studies: We are going to be continuing a unit over Thanksgiving.
Science: We will be taking a break on science.
Spelling: Spelling tests will be every Thursday. Please remember to practice spelling words every night at home.

-Character Education Assembly Friday, November 17th at 8:30.
-Early out for November 21 for Thanksgiving break.
-No school November 22, 23, and 24th for Thanksgiving break.
-November 29 is picture retake day.
