Mrs. Valentine's 6th grade Reading class recently finished reading "The Giver" by Lois Lowry.  As a way to help deepen the students' understanding, they were given choices for their follow-up activity such as to create a role-play, produce a PowerPoint or Google Slide, or create a game board among other things.  They were so creative and seemingly had a blast preparing these activities in which they presented to the class.  I was impressed with their ideas and presentation skills and total enthusiasm.  Putnam County has some great kids and I feel blessed every day to be one of their teachers.
