New Year, New Math!
Launch the media gallery 1 player4th Grade has kicked off the new year by starting a new math unit. We are now applying all that we have learned about multiplication and division to fractions! Students have generated ideas about how we use fractions in real life: in recipes, measurement, and the very important 1/2 off clearance prices at our favorite stores. We always have with fractions in 4th grade because of all of the opportunities there are for hands on learning. We have played many games with fractions so far, including one with M & Ms (yum, chocolate!).
