Mrs. Chapman's Fifth Grade
So much to do; so much to learn!
We are finding interesting things to do in Mrs. Chapman’s class for the month of February. Making and presenting slide shows about professions that involve math and science has been fun. The kids have been working hard to be creative with their slideshows and are excited to share them with the class.
Our focus in math continues to be fractions. In science we have started a unit on human and earth activity. Social studies is covering Westward Expansion, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and the Cold War. Lastly, we are still working on our opinion papers and figurative language which will hang in the hallway when we are done.
We are looking forward to our Valentine’s Day party and seeing the creative Valentine boxes. We can count on there being lots of candy, games, and balloons!
