Whitney Selected as Area III FFA President

Area III FFA Officer interviews were held on March 5th, 2018 at the La Plata R-II High school.  These interviews are held each March to select the new Area officers for the upcoming year. There are 10 officers selected to fill these positions from the 24 area schools.  Interviewing for the Putnam County FFA Chapter was junior Whitney R.

The selection process has three parts:  an interview, an FFA Knowledge quiz and scoring of each students FFA leadership page.  All candidates are interviewed one time in front of area delegates and advisors. Following the first round of interviews the delegates vote to help select the final ten who will get officer positions.  After ranking of all the students based on their knowledge, leadership and interviews scores, the top ten are selected to be area officers. Those students then complete a second round of interviews to determine what student gets what office.  

At the conclusion of the night, Whitney was selected to be the Area III FFA President for the 2018-19 school year.  She will attend all area functions throughout next year and be responsible for helping to organize and conduct Area III FFA activities. Whitney is the daughter of Jason and Sarah Rouse of Unionville Missouri and Lindsey Moss of Chilicothe Missouri. Also attending for Putnam County were two delegates; Richard R., Tony B., and FFA advisors Clyde Bondy and Randy Morris.
