As the school year winds down there are certain events that mark the end of the year. Our annual spelling bee, organized by Mrs. Kim Knight, is one example. Anxious elementary and middle school students sat on the stage in front of an audience of their peers and parents, ready to show off their spelling ability on Thursday, May 10th. Middle school students, grades six through eight started things off. The first place winner was Christian H., second place went to Vanessa B. and Kloey P. took home third place. Besides their wooden plaques, each student received a money prize provided by the Lion's Club. Elementary students competed next with first place going to Sawyer M., second to Allise P., and third to Redgy T. They too received prizes from the Lion's Club as well as plaques, created in-house by Aaron Schnakenberg. Thank you to everyone who's hard work made this competition possible. We want to especially thank the Unionville Lion's Club for their generous support.
