Preparing for the Next Time
We have completed a couple of "firsts" in 8th grade math class. Students have had their notebooks graded for the first time so, hopefully, any misunderstandings have been cleared up on expectations for notebooks. Students have also completed their first test so they have a feel for what future tests will be like. For students who felt that first attempt was not as good as they would have wanted, a makeup test for chapter one is being offered.
All of us know that whenever we have done something before, it is easier the next time. In math class, we are preparing for the next time with a better understanding.
