Basketball Season Fast Approaching

To Parents and Players of Junior High Basketball 2018:
Basketball season is right around the corner. October 10, 2018, will be a conditioning practice from 3:30-4:30 with the first practice Thursday, October 11, 2018, for the girls and non-football players for boys. Practice schedules are being sent home for October and November. The boys' last football game is October 16, 2018, with their first practice being Thursday, October 18. A parent meeting will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 5:30 pm in the HS commons for boys and girls teams.
If an athlete has not played a fall sport, they will need a physical before they can begin practicing. Also, IMPACT test and student-athlete paperwork will need to be completed if not already done.
Team shoes are not required, but a clean pair of basketball shoes work best, and preferably black or blue and white. Also, this year for Junior High girls, the high school teams are ordering shoes for the cost of $80-85. Please let Coach Klingner know ASAP if planning on ordering shoes. On the night of the parent meeting, we will order team shooting shirts that players can wear with jeans or warm-up pants on some game days. The cost of these shirts will be given that night. We will also dress up for some games as well.
